Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Furniture Maker Intern to join our team in Sheffield, United Kingdom. The Furniture Maker Intern will provide assistance in the production and design of furniture pieces. The successful candidate will be expected to assist in the design process, operate machinery, and assist with the assembly and finishing of furniture pieces.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of furniture pieces using computer-aided design software
• Create and use templates to ensure accuracy of furniture pieces
• Operate machinery to cut and shape wood and other materials
• Assemble and finish furniture pieces
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Follow safety guidelines when operating machinery
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in furniture making or woodworking is preferred
• Knowledge of computer-aided design software is preferred
• Ability to read and understand instructions and diagrams
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
