Our Edinburgh branch is looking to engage an enthusiastic intern to join its skilled team. Job role: Intern - Civil Engineer

You will work towards planning, designing, and managing construction projects. Your responsibilities will encompass the following:

  • Assist in the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, constructions schedules, and environmental impact studies
  • Serve as an on-site project representative
  • Help in conducting feasibility studies for proposed projects
  • Observe and evaluate field activities associated with project construction
  • Involvement in surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction

Requirements

We're looking for an individual who is:

  • Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and similar design software
  • Strong in mathematical and scientific concepts
  • Excellent in verbal and written communication skills
  • Willing to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week for the duration of the internship

Candidates who possess previous field experience, knowledge in green building techniques, and proven leadership abilities will be given preference.
