Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and creative Furniture Maker Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship opportunity will facilitate an immersive learning experience, benchmarking the future of bespoke furniture design and creation. Selected intern will work closely with our team of expert furniture makers, designers and experienced artisans encompassing all aspects of furniture production.

Tasks

- Assist in the entire furniture making process, including planning, designing, and creating furniture pieces.
- Involvement in selecting and preparing materials.
- Collaborate with the team on bespoke furniture projects.
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on tools and workshop equipment.
- Contribute innovative design ideas and concepts.
- Learn and employ wood-joinery techniques and wood finishing techniques.

Requirements

- Studying towards a degree in Furniture Design, Woodworking, or related field.
- Display strong craftsmanship skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Sound understanding of design principles and ability to read blueprints.
- Familiar with woodworking tools and machinery.
