Job description

In this position, you will experience hands-on training in the various aspects of furniture manufacturing. This includes design, crafting, detailing and final assembly. You will be immersed in our processes, utilising both traditional and modern techniques while working essentially with hardwoods to create high-end furniture.

The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced team of furniture makers and finishers, gaining knowledge and enriching their craftsmanship skills while contributing to ongoing projects. You will be involved in the entire process, from initial concept designs, to producing and finishing the furniture pieces. This internship will provide an excellent opportunity for learning and growth within the carpentry and furniture making industry.

Personal and Job Requirements

Applicants should be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Design, Fine Art, Carpentry, or related field. Prior experience with hand tools and machinery used in woodworking is advantageous but not a requirement. A keen eye for quality and detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are a must.

Due to the nature of the work, candidates should have good manual dexterity, and be able to demonstrate a degree of physical fitness to handle the demands of the role. A passion for design and creativity, coupled with the enthusiasm to learn and contribute within a dynamic team, are key aspects we will be considering.
