Job Description

As an Education/Teaching Assistant, your duties will include but not be limited to: assisting the lead teacher in preparing lesson plans, distributing learning materials, supervising students in the classroom, helping with assignments and tasks, facilitating group activities and field trips, and providing support to students with special needs.

You will also be required to attend parent-teacher meetings, assist in grading, maintain a healthy and safe learning environment, and encourage positive student behaviour.

Job Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Approved Spanish teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • A clear understanding of classroom roles and ability to support teachers and students effectively.

Personal Requirements

The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, patience, adaptability, and a passion for teaching. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, and sensitivity towards the individual needs of students are also desired traits.
