Job Description

The Education/Teaching Assistant will be responsible for supporting the classroom teacher in the academic and social development of students. Duties will incorporate a blend of educational and administrative tasks:

  • Assisting the teacher in planning and implementing lesson plans
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help
  • Taking an active role in maintaining classroom discipline and a positive learning environment
  • Helping students with special needs, encouraging their participation in classroom activities
  • Maintaining classroom records, tracking student progress, and informing teachers of advancements and concerns

Job Requirements

Applicants must possess a relevant degree and preferably have experience in an Education / Teaching Assistant role. Proficiency in both Spanish and English is a requisite:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a similar field
  • Experience in a school setting, preferably as a Teaching Assistant
  • Strong proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken
  • Familiarity with the Spanish education system and curriculum is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to varying classroom situations
