Job Description

The English Teaching Assistant will play a significant role in our educational team, focusing on delivering engaging and effective English language lessons. Tasks include:

  • Preparing and implementing educational English classes for various levels.
  • Assisting the main English teacher in planning lessons and evaluating student's performance.
  • Providing support to students during lessons and offering additional tutoring if necessary.
  • Maintaining class records, tracking student progress, and providing feedback.
  • Contributing to a multicultural and multilingual learning environment by implementing and following inclusive teaching methods.
  • Participating in professional development activities such as workshops, observations, and meetings.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position should meet the following criteria:

  • Possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in English, education, or a related field.
  • TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification is a significant plus.
  • Have prior experience in teaching English as a second language, ideally in a multicultural setting.
  • Demonstrate advanced oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Be flexible, motivated, creative and capable of working independently.
  • Have strong organizational skills and an ability to adapt to new teaching methods and educational tools.
  • A basic knowledge of Spanish is preferred, but not obligatory.
