Job Description

As a French teaching assistant, your role would involve:

• Supporting the lead French teacher in conducting classes, preparing lesson plans and designing educational materials.
• Helping to develop the French language skills of students and maximise their potential through guided lesson instruction.
• Providing assistance with cultural sensitisation to students as part of the French classes.
• Conducting one-on-one sessions with students who require additional help with their coursework and preparing them for assessments.
• Maintaining student assessment records and providing feedback.
• Participating in departmental meetings and school events.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in French or a related field.
• Previous experience in teaching, tutoring or other educational settings is preferred.
• Excellent command of the French language, including French grammar, writing and comprehension.
• Good understanding of different teaching methodologies and pedagogical concepts.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a team as well as function independently.
