Job Description

The successful applicant will be expected to assist our main English Teacher in creating an engaging classroom environment that promotes and fosters learning. Key responsibilities will include coordinating with teachers to reinforce lessons, planning educational activities, preparing teaching materials, providing individual support to students during lessons, helping organize and supervise group activities, and maintaining records of each student's progress. The candidate will also be responsible for assisting in the preparation of lesson plans, assessments, and examinations, conforming to the school’s methods and standards.

Job Requirements

An ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in English, Linguistics, Education or a related field with a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certification. Prior teaching or assistant teaching experience with proof of ability to manage classroom activities effectively is crucial. Proficiency in Spanish, in both verbal and written communication, is highly desirable. Advanced computer skills, understanding of British and American English grammar, and a flexible, creative approach to teaching are also essential.
