Teaching Assistant Vacancy - Spanish Language School, Lanzarote
Our renowned language school located on the picturesque island of Lanzarote, Spain is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Spanish Teaching Assistant. With a passion for teaching and facilitating student growth, we offer language courses to both locals and international students of varying proficiency levels.
Job Description
The main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the lead Spanish Teacher in delivering lessons and instructing classes in their absence.
- Developing engaging learning material and exercises.
- Assisting with marking and grading student’s work.
- Providing personalized feedback to students to encourage their progress.
- Helping to organize cultural activities aimed at immersive language learning.
Job Requirements
This role requires the successful applicant to have:
- A bachelor's degree in Spanish or a related field (a Master's degree would be a plus).
- Previous experience in a similar role or in teaching, tutoring or education.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English (other languages would be advantageous).
- A TEFL certification or equivalent.
