We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic German Teaching Assistant to join our language school in beautiful Lanzarote, Spain. Your primary responsibility would be to support our lead teachers in delivering dynamic German language classes for students of different age groups and abilities. The teaching assistant's duty includes planning and preparing classroom activities, assisting in grading in-class participation and homework assignments, providing individual student support, attending staff meetings and professional development seminars. Additionally, you will also play a crucial role in managing classroom materials and resources, tracking students' progress, and maintaining an engaging and safe learning environment.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in German language studies, education, linguistics, or a related field. Previous experience in a language teaching context, preferably as a teaching assistant, will be beneficial. You must be fluent in both German and English. The ability to speak Spanish would be a significant advantage but not mandatory. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, flexibility, and an understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds are paramount for this position. Creativity, patience, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching are also highly desirable.
