The chosen applicant will assist the Lead Teacher in preparing and delivering lessons to students as per the school's curriculum. The assistant teacher will be responsible for supporting students during learning activities, evaluating student progress through informal and formal assessments, preparing teaching materials and classroom resources, reinforcing the rules of the classroom and school, and filling in for the main teacher if needed.
The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in education or a related field, a teaching certification, and prior experience in an educational setting. Other requirements include excellent English proficiency, strong communication skills, patience, a positive disposition, and the ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team.
Applicants who have completed a TEFL or TESOL course or possess a related qualification will receive preferential consideration. Knowledge of the Spanish language is a distinct advantage, though not a prerequisite. The position has a typical work schedule of 40 hours per week, though flexibility may be needed depending on school events and activities.
