Job Description

The Education/Teaching Assistant will support the classroom teachers with planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons in accordance with the school curriculum. S/he will work primarily with students, offering academic support and reinforcement of lesson materials. Additional responsibilities include supervising students during lunch and break times, providing one-to-one assistance to students with special education needs, and taking part in school meetings, training sessions, and events.


- Provide instructional support under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Assist teacher in the creation and implementation of lesson plans.
- Monitor students during non-classroom times including lunch and recess.
- Work closely with students who may need extra support.
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings.


- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a related field.
- Relevant experience in an educational setting is a plus.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in Spanish and English.
- Experience or ability to work with students with diverse learning needs.
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
