Job tasks and responsibilities

- Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom management under the instruction of the lead teacher.
- Providing students with individualized support in completing assignments and mastering complex concepts.
- Facilitating group discussions and interactive activities which deepen students' understanding of lesson material.
- Supervising students during lunchtime, breaks, and other non-classroom activities to ensure a safe and positive environment.
- Maintaining records of students' attendance, participation, and progress reports.
- Participating in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Creating a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that respects all students' unique learning needs and cultural backgrounds.

Personal and job requirements

Candidates should:

- Hold a degree in Education or a related field. Ally relevant experience in a school setting is also appreciated.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, with a passion for mentoring and inspiring students.
- Demonstrate fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Basque language will be an added advantage.
- Be organized, patient, and creative, especially in handling difficult situations and making lessons engaging.
- Have a strong understanding of child safety regulations and be able to pass a background check.
- Have proficiency in the use of educational technology, and be able to adapt to new programs and methods.
