Reservation manager internship in a hostal in Barcelona

Job Description

Onefam Hostels is currently the highest-rated hostel chain in the world, with 16 hostels in mainland Europe. Constantly looking to progress in the field of guest experience, keeping a fresh perspective on a previously dated industry.

They are looking for a vibrant and outgoing individual to join their team as a Receptionist Intern at their party social hostel in Barcelona.

Tasks

As a Receptionist Intern, you will support the reception team and be the first point of contact for guests. Your main responsibilities include: 

• Providing exceptional customer service and ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests.
• Greet guests and provide a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival.
• Check-in and check-out guests, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
• Assist guests with inquiries, providing information about the hostel, local attractions, and events.
• Manage reservations and room assignments, ensuring efficient allocation of available rooms. 
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including the display of promotional materials and brochures.
• Process payments and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus). 
• Able to provide a training agreement from your educational institution.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Friendly and outgoing personality, with a genuine passion for interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.
