We are currently seeking a qualified German Teaching Assistant.
Job Description
The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead German Language Instructor to facilitate in-class activities and provide supplementary instruction to students. Your responsibilities will include aiding in the preparation and delivery of lessons, carrying out language and grammar exercises, supporting students in their assigned tasks, and engaging with them to boost their language fluency and comprehension.
Tasks
- Assisting in planning and preparing effective classroom activities and lessons based on curriculum goals.
- Helping create an immersive German-speaking environment in the classroom.
- Providing feedback on students' progress and assisting with evaluations.
- Offering additional support to students struggling with material.
- Participating in school events and encouraging student involvement in extra-curricular activities.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in German, Education or relevant field.
- Certification on German Language Teaching for foreigners (e.g., DaF).
- Excellent command over the German language with fluency in spoken and written German.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or a similar role in a classroom environment.
- Good classroom management skills and ability to cater to a multicultural group of learners.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude towards teaching.
