An accredited language school based in the heart of Viseu, Portugal is currently seeking an enthusiastic English Teaching Assistant to join our highly motivated and supportive team. Job Description
The successful candidate will support the planning, execution and improvement of our English language sessions. You will work closely with our professional teaching staff, aiding in preparing lesson plans, managing resources and participating in classroom instruction. Your responsibilities will include delivering engaging lessons, attending staff meetings and workshops, assisting with grading and providing feedback to students, and partaking in extracurricular activities.
Job Requirements
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree preferably in English, Education, or a related field. A CELTA, TEFL, or TESOL certification is a must. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is critical for this role. Experience in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) will be considered an advantage. Familiarity with a diverse teaching environment, knowledge of curriculums and an understanding of learning management systems is expected.
