Job Title: German Teaching Assistant

An accredited language school in the vibrant city of Viseu, Portugal is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for our German language program. Our school boasts of a multi-cultural environment, offers a broad range of languages and hosts dynamic and interactive classes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance to the lead German language teacher in developing lesson plans, teaching materials and classroom activities.
• Assist in conducting engaging language exercises and interactive learning sessions.
• Help create a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters student's interest in learning German.
• Address student needs and assist struggling students with constructive feedback and personalized teaching strategies.
• Collaborate with faculty in continuous curriculum improvements, maintaining teaching standards and ensuring adherence to school policies.

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in German language studies or related field.
• Fluency in German (native level) and English, knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.
• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or a similar role would be highly beneficial.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Patience and a genuine passion for language education.
