Job Description

The French Teaching Assistant will report directly to the Head of the French Department. The successful applicant will support classroom activities, assist in planning and implementing lesson plans, offer small group or individual tutoring, contribute to assessments, and provide feedback on student performance.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Supporting the teacher in delivering lesson plans
- Managing student behavior and promoting a constructive learning environment
- Organizing educational materials and resources
- Assisting in preparing and grading assessments
- Participating in school events and culture-related activities
- Offering extra support to students with special educational needs or those falling behind

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following:

- A native-level proficiency in French
- A Bachelor's degree in French, Education, or a relevant discipline
- Previous experience in an educational setting, preferably in language teaching
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in both individual and collaborative settings
- Adeptness in using different teaching methodologies to cater to various learning styles
