Job Role and Responsibilities

As an intern in our Reception / Reservations department, your key responsibilities will include:

• Welcome guests, understand their reservations and check-in requirements and assist them accordingly.
• Answer customer queries related to reservations and services via phone, email, and in-person.
• Liaise with other departments like housekeeping, food & beverage, and accounting to handle customer requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain and update the internal database with details of reservations and bookings.
• Handle any customer complaints or issues professionally and assure them of swift resolution.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, tidy and welcoming.

Job and Personal Requirements

The ideal candidate for this internship should have:

• Exceptional customer service skills with a proactive approach to understanding and addressing customer needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An eye for detail and good organizational skills.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Portuguese and other foreign languages will be a plus point.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising on quality of service.
• Willingness to work in shifts, during weekends and on public holidays as the job demands.
