Job Description

The successful applicant will be expected to assist with German language teaching for a wide range of students, from children to adults with various proficiency levels. Main responsibilities include: planning engaging exercises and activities to facilitate language learning; assisting main teachers in class preparation and assessments; providing support with individual learners and catering for different learning styles; regularly communicating with main teachers about students’ progress; providing assistance in cultural activities related to German language study.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must have an advanced level of German proficiency (C1/C2 level) and at least a B2 level in English or Portuguese. A Bachelor’s Degree in German Language, Linguistics, Education, or any related field is required while a Master's Degree or previous experience as a language teaching assistant would be considered an asset. The candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a patient, enthusiastic, and creative attitude towards teaching.
