Position Overview

We are looking for a French Teaching Assistant to join our educational team, specifically to assist within our French Department. The ideal candidate should have a passion for language education, be able to engage students effectively, and contribute to creating a positive learning environment. This is a full-time role based in Lisbon, Portugal.

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting the lead teacher in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons.
• Helping with the production of teaching materials and developing lesson plans.
• Providing support to individual students on a one-to-one basis.
• Grading assignments and providing feedback to students to enhance learning.
• Helping maintain a vibrant, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.

Job Requirements

• A bachelors degree in French, Education or similar field.
• Previous experience in a teaching role would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
• Native or near-native proficiency in French.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• A proven ability to engage students effectively in a classroom setting.
