Job Description

We are looking for an organized, innovative, and highly motivated English Teaching assistant to join our team. The successful applicant will support creating lesson plans, grading assessments, encouraging student engagement, and assist in teaching small groups when necessary. You will also support in developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing proficiency in students in accordance with the common European framework of reference for languages. Occasionally, you may also lead cultural activities and accompany students on field trips relevant to the course material.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the development and execution of lesson plans
- Provide support in grading and assessing student work and progress
- Facilitate conversational practice workshops
- Contribute to a supportive and stimulating learning environment
- Participate and sometimes lead in school activities

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field, along with an internationally recognized TEFL/TESOL certificate. Experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language is required, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency in Portuguese language is a plus, but not a requirement.
