Seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated English Teaching Assistant for a reputable language school in the historic city of Guimaraes, Portugal. Job Description
The prospective English Teaching Assistant will be expected to:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning effective English lessons compliant with the school’s curriculum.
- Provide individualised instruction to students to reinforce learning concepts presented by the lead teacher.
- Track and report students’ progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on a regular schedule.
- Conduct tutoring sessions, providing additional help for struggling students.
- Enforce classroom protocols to maintain a conducive learning environment.
Job Requirements
Candidates must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in English, Education or related field. TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification will be a plus.
- Excellent command of English language both oral and written.
- Proven experience working in an educational setting, ideally teaching English as a second language.
- An ability to build rapport with students of diverse cultural backgrounds.
