We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Education / Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic and vibrant team at a reputable school in Faro, Portugal. This is a full-time role, providing the right candidate with an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our students' academic journey.
Job Description
Your duties will include assisting teaching staff in planning and implementing educational activities, providing additional academic support to individual students where necessary, preparing classroom resources, facilitating group activities, and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment. Furthermore, you will be expected to provide feedback on student progress, aid in managing student behavior, and contribute to the school community as part of a team.
Qualifications and Person Specification
The successful candidate must have a minimum of a high school diploma; however, a degree in education or relevant field is preferred. Previous experience in an educational setting is essential, and the ability to speak both Portuguese and English would be advantageous. Strong communication skills, a passion for education, the ability to work well in a team, and a patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with children are all necessary qualities.
