Job Description

The Education / Teaching Assistant will support teachers in delivering high-quality educational experiences to students. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of lesson plans.
  • Supporting students with their individual learning needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Supervising students during activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
  • Collaborating with teachers to assess student progress and adapt learning materials accordingly.
  • Organizing classroom resources and materials to create an effective learning environment.
  • Facilitating small group discussions and assisting with classroom management.

Job and Personal Requirements

  • Minimum qualification of a high school diploma; further education in education or child development is a plus.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education and child development.
  • Fluency in Portuguese; proficiency in English is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
