Job Description: Educational / Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and highly motivated Educational / Teaching Assistant who will support our teachers in creating a positive learning environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of tasks in and outside the classroom setting.

Key Tasks

• Assist teachers in preparing and implementing lesson plans
• Provide one-on-one support to students in need of additional help
• Assist students with special needs in learning, comprehension and application of taught concepts
• Help with setting up and tidying of classrooms
• Assist with grading assignments and recording academic performance
• Supervise students during class activities, lunch breaks and school outings
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development programs

Job Requirements

• A degree in education or a related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Fluency in English and Portugese
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work well as part of a team
• First aid knowledge and skills will be considered an asset
