Job Description

The Education/Teaching assistant will be tasked to support teachers in delivering curriculum and contribute to the development of a structured and safe environment for learning and personal growth. To ensure that the children's intellectual, emotional and social needs are met and to facilitate a healthy learning environment.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting the lead teacher in creating lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Working directly with children, supervising activities and ensuring their safety.
• Observing and evaluating students' performance and provide feedback to lead teacher.
• Providing individualized instruction based on student needs.
• Maintaining classroom cleanliness and organization.
• Performing administrative tasks such as grading papers and recording attendance.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education or a related field. A Certified Assistant Teacher and previous experience in a similar role would be preferred. Fluency in both English and Portuguese will be an added advantage. You should have a clean criminal record, and provide two professional references from previous employment (preferably from educational institutions).

Personal Requirements

We are seeking individuals with stellar communication skills, patience, and the innate ability to motivate and inspire children. A love for learning, creativity, adaptability, and a positive attitude are necessary. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with students, parents, and staff are important.
