Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the lead teacher in teaching the German language to students of different age groups and proficiency. You will help in preparing teaching materials, conducting lessons, and assessing students' progress. In addition, you will be expected to facilitate the organisation of cultural activities to promote a deeper understanding of the German culture. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as you will act as the main point of contact for students needing help outside of scheduled teaching times.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a degree in German language studies or a similar field and possess a recognised teaching qualification. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role is required. Fluency in English and German is a prerequisite while understanding Portuguese is beneficial. You should have proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Personal Requirements

A passion for teaching, excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards work are crucial characteristics for this role. Flexibility in dealing with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and a proactive approach towards various teaching techniques are important.
