Job Description

The Education / Teaching Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons and assisting students in their learning journey. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the planning and preparation of educational materials.
  • Supporting individual students or small groups to enhance their learning.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers.
  • Implementing classroom management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Helping students with special educational needs and adapting activities to meet diverse learning styles.

  • Assisting in the organization and supervision of school events and extracurricular activities.

Personal and Professional Requirements

  • A degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in an educational setting or with children is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with students and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching and supporting young learners.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and a good command of English is essential.
