Job Description
English Teaching Assistant Position in Aveiro, Portugal
A language school in the picturesque city of Aveiro is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and energetic English Teaching Assistant to aid in facilitating meaningful language instruction for our students. This role is both challenging and rewarding, aimed at individuals who are passionate about education and cultural exchange.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting lead instructors with lesson preparation and execution.
- Working with small groups of students on language enrichment activities.
- Providing one-on-one tutoring for students needing additional support.
- Grading assignments and providing feedback for students.
- Creating a vibrant learning environment that is engaging and supportive.
- Attending staff meetings and participating in staff training programs.
- Contributing to school events and extracurricular activities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or related role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative where necessary.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methods and educational tools.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Portuguese or another language would be advantageous.
