In this hands-on internship program, you would gain inclusive experience in furniture making. Your responsibilities would entail:
- Furnishing design interpretation and fabrication from sketches or written specs
- Assisting in determining the sequence of furniture production activities
- Working with diverse materials like solid wood, veneer, laminate, and metal to build and finish furniture pieces
- Handling various woodworking machines and tools
- Assisting with ensuring safety by maintaining clean and organized work areas
- Working in close collaboration with design and production teams.
We are looking for a passionate and diligent intern, preferably from a Design, Craftsmanship, or any related field. The ideal candidate should:
- Possess an understanding of woodworking techniques and safety measures
- Demonstrate ability in interpreting and working from sketches and spec sheets
- Exhibit attention to detail, precision, and spatial understanding
- Accommodate flexible working conditions, adhering to project timelines
- Showcase creativity, problem-solving skills, and a passion for learning.
Experience with woodworking machinery and tools would be a plus. Fluent English language skills, both verbal and written, are a must for this position, and knowledge of the Lithuanian language would also be advantageous.
