Our reputable language school, based in the cultured city of Turin, Italy, is in search of an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teaching Assistant. Our school provides a diverse range of language learning programs for adults and children, focusing on encouraging communicative skills and fostering a deep appreciation of the cultures behind the languages.
The English Teaching Assistant will help in organizing and implementing effectual lesson plans, guide students to improve their verbal and written English skills, and assist the lead teacher in assessing students' performance. This role also requires the promotion of a positive and vibrant learning environment. Additional responsibilities include preparation of teaching materials, assisting in administrative tasks, and participation in school events and trainings. The English Teaching Assistant will be reporting directly to the Head of English Department.
Applicants should be fluent in English with at least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education, English, Linguistics or a TEFL/TESOL certification. Previous teaching or tutoring experience in ESL/EFL would be a valuable asset. Candidates must also exhibit a strong understanding of various teaching strategies and an ability to manage multicultural classrooms.
We are in search of a candidate who is passionate about education, sensitive to different cultures, patient in dealing with learners from varying age brackets, and committed to fostering a conducive learning environment. Strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills are mandatory. Italian language proficiency would greatly benefit the applicant but is not a disqualifying criterion.
