Job Description
The Education / Teaching Assistant will provide a variety of supports in classroom settings that are designed to promote the educational, physical, and social-emotional development of students.
- Assisting the teacher in planning and delivering effective learning and teaching programs for all pupils in the class.
- Support individual students and small groups in interventions as directed by the class teacher, while maintaining discipline among students.
- Engage with students to ensure health, safety as well as physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Apply strategies to facilitate positive student development and learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the creation of a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in faculty meetings, assisting in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
Requirements
Individuals applying for this position should possess the following:
- A degree in Education or a related field.
- Previous experience working in an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- An adaptable and flexible approach to work.
- An ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in English and Italian language, both spoken and written.
- An understanding and commitment to implementing our school’s policies, including Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies.
