English Teaching Assistant in Padua, Italy
A well-established language school in Padua, Italy is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teaching Assistant to help drive the success of our growing student population. The Language School employs effective multidimensional language learning techniques to instigate a love for the English language and culture. Located in the charming heart of historic Padua, the Language School encourages exploratory and immersive learning, much of which we owe to the international appeal of our location.
The role
The English Teaching Assistant will report to the Lead English Teacher and will assist in creating a constructive and fun learning environment for students. Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Supporting the Lead English Teacher in delivering effective language lessons.
- Helping to create engaging classroom activities to harness the interest of students.
- Assisting students on one-to-one basis to address issues and soft spots.
- Monitoring students' progress and providing feedback.
- Maintaining discipline in the classroom and ensuring adherence to the school's rules.
- Organizing and participating in school events and outings.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an individual with:
- Native or near-native fluency in English.
- Strong understanding of TEFL methodologies.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field or a TEFL/TESOL certification.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience will be a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Respects and understands cultural diversity.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
- A creative mindset and an enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
