Job Description

The role of the English Teaching Assistant is to support the lead teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons to students of different age groups and proficiency levels. The successful candidate will be involved in the planning and preparation of lessons, including the preparation of teaching materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher in the delivery of English lessons.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes and age groups.
  • Prepare homework assignments and handouts.
  • Monitor students' progress and provide feedback.
  • Maintain discipline in the classroom.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, Education or a related field.
  • TEFL, TESOL or CELTA certificate is a plus.
  • Experience in teaching English as a second language.
  • Native or near-native level of English.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be eligible to work in Italy.
