You will work as a German Teaching Assistant, directing small group classes, and providing individualised support to students at varying proficiency levels. Responsibilities include lesson planning, teaching, student assessment, and maintaining records of student progress. You will collaborate with a team of language specialists to devise innovative teaching strategies and improve existing ones. As part of your function, you might be required to assist in organizing language cultural immersion activities occasionally.
Candidates should have at least a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in German Studies, Education, or a related field. A professional teaching certification and/or a Master’s degree is desirable. Prospective applicants must have at least two years of teaching experience, preferably in multi-cultural environments. Fluent communication in German and English is a prerequisite. Proficiency in Italian, although not compulsory, is an advantage.
You should be passionate about teaching and cultivating a deep understanding of the German language. Outstanding soft skills such as effective communication, patience, empathy, and cultural awareness are essential. The capacity to work in a team, excellent organisational skills, and adaptability to changing schedules are also necessary.
