We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and experienced English Teaching Assistant for a well-respected language school located right in the heart of Florence, Italy. Our school specialises in teaching English, Italian, French, Spanish, and German to learners of all ages and levels.
Job Description
The successful candidate will act as a crucial member of our faculty, assisting our English teachers in various areas of curriculum delivery. The responsibilities include:
- Supporting the lead teacher in the planning and implementation of daily lessons.
- Providing one-on-one assistance to students who need extra help with language concepts.
- Tracking student progress and providing feedback to the lead teacher.
- Assisting in the creation of engaging language learning materials.
- Grading assignments and conducting oral assessments.
- Ensuring a safe, positive and engaging classroom environment for learning.
Job Requirements
All applicants must be native English speakers, with a bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. A TEFL/TESOL certificate is highly desirable, and at least one year of previous teaching assistant experience is also required. Italian language proficiency isn’t required, but would be highly advantageous.
