Job Description

As a Furniture Maker Intern, you will get an opportunity to learn from some of the best Craftspeople in the industry. The intern will assist in various stages of furniture making such as Planning, Cutting, Assembly, Finishing, and Inspection.

• Assist in the production and assembly of a wide variety of furniture designs.
• Participate in the selection and treatment of timber and other materials.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools in furniture construction and finishing.
• Follow detailed technical drawings and schematics.
• Ensure adherence to all safety practices in the woodworking shop.
• Assist in quality control, ensuring all finished products meet our high-quality standards.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas in brainstorming sessions.

Personal and Job Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a carpentry, woodworking, or related program.
• Strong attention to detail and a high appreciation for craftsmanship.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power machinery used in woodwork.
• Passionate about furniture-making and possesses a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Exceptional communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction.
• A valid work permit to work in Ireland.
