Job Description

We are currently looking for a Film Studies Intern to join our team in Brussels. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to gain first-hand experience in all aspects of cinema production. The intern will engage in creative and shop talks, contribute to brainstorming sessions, and assist in various stages of film production.

Tasks and Responsibilities

- Assist in script breakdown and script analysis.
- Participate in pre-production meetings and be present during filming.
- Conduct research on production-related topics.
- Help in coordinating between different departments within the production team.
- Support the post production process including editing and film promotion materials.
- Engage directly in set design, prop procurement and scene setup.

Qualifications

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree course in the field of film studies, arts, media studies or related disciplines. Knowledge of the art and science of cinema is a prerequisite. Familiarity with digital filming and editing software will be an added advantage.

Personal requirements

The ideal applicant should be proficient in English and French/Dutch. They should have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, and a zeal for the cinematic arts.They must be capable of working well under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
