Job Vacancy: German Teaching Assistant

An accredited Language School in the heart of Palma de Mallorca, Spain is eagerly seeking a German Teaching Assistant to be a part of our multi-cultural team. Our institution prides itself on providing an enriching, interactive and intuitive learning atmosphere which promotes linguistic diversity and cultural awareness to our students.

Job Description

The chosen candidate will work alongside our world-class educators to help facilitate learning and strengthen comprehension of the German language for our diverse student body. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in teaching Beginner to Advanced level German as a foreign language to a diverse age range of students.
• Preparing lesson aids and exercises customized to each student’s strengths and weaknesses
• Assisting with proficiency testing and aiding in grading examinations
• Providing constructive feedback and guidance to students on their progress
• Participating in staff meetings and curriculum development sessions
• Contributing to extracurricular activities and cultural immersion trips

Job Requirements

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in German Language Studies or a related field
• At least one year of experience in teaching or a similar setting
• Proficiency in German (C2 level) and English
• Experience working with diverse age groups
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
• Experience living in a German-speaking country is a plus
