At It Sounds Fun English academy, children learn English Grammar, Vocabulary and Phonics in an entertaining, supportive, and laid back environment, through music, games, and a lot of fun! This opportunity will give you a great start to your teaching career, immerse yourself in Spanish culture in the sunny, safe and affordable city of Jerez de la Frontera in the south of Spain!

Tareas

In this position you will gain insight into how to be a great EFL teacher, working with children and teenagers.
You will:

• Teach English lessons with children from 2-18 years of age.
• Help with course and class planning.
• Create and produce classroom resources such as flashcards, posters etc...
• Support  overall assessment of the students by writing reports and giving feedback to supervisors on students' progress.
• Observe classes to help gain knowledge of classroom management and discipline.
• Learn how to impart the content of the class in a fun and enthusiastic way which keeps the children/students engaged and participating.
• Improve your knowledge of the grammar of the English language and how to best help students to reach their goals in speaking, listening, writing and reading.
• Prepare older students for official Cambridge English exams, and receive instruction on the techniques for these exams and the knowledge needed to do well.
• Learn about games, activities and pair work exercises to keep your class having fun and learning at the same time.
• You will be monitored and observed by our head of studies and director, who will give you help and support throughout the duration of the internship.

Requisitos

• Candidates must be fluent in English (C1 level), with excellent pronunciation.
• Enjoy working with children.
• Availability for a 9 month internship
• Provide a training agreement from your university.

Condiciones

• Full training and induction for the first two weeks, when you will be introduced to our methodology and resources, and get to know the other interns, settle in to your accommodation etc...
• Learn how to become a great teacher, with our support, feedback and help. We offer a friendly, fun environment where you can get to know the other interns and teachers, as part of a collaborative team.
• The opportunity to immerse yourself in Spanish culture, improve your Spanish, and enjoy your time in the sunny south of Spain.
• Support to find accommodation. 

Remuneration: 500 euros net/ month (9 payments).

Internship hours: 30 hours/ week.
