Job Description

The chosen intern will have the chance to work side by side with our seasoned chefs and kitchen staff in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This hand-on experience will involve assisting in various kitchen operations like meal preparation, menu planning, and catering events. The intern will also be part of ensuring that the kitchen operations comply with the highest safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking meals under the supervision of the head chef
• Participate in designing and planning menus
• Adhere to hygiene and safety standards in all kitchen operations
• Participate in stock management, ensuring ingredients remain fresh and available
• Collaborate in catering events and exclusive dinners
• Continuous learning and adapting to new cooking techniques and presentation styles

Qualifications

The aspirant must be a current student or a recent graduate from a Culinary Arts or similar degree. Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented setting are crucial. Experience in a professional kitchen will be considered a plus, but not necessary. Portuguese language proficiency is desired but not compulsory.
