Position Summary

The Education/Teaching Assistant will support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education to students. This role is essential for enhancing student learning experiences and requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in planning and implementing daily lessons and classroom activities.
  • Provide support to individual or small groups of students with varying learning needs.
  • Supervise students during recreational and lunchtime activities to ensure safety and engagement.
  • Prepare educational materials and resources as needed for lessons.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Help maintain classroom organization and cleanliness.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and support staff regarding student needs and progress.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma; further education in education or related fields preferred.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to be patient, flexible, and adaptable to dynamic classroom environment.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.
  • Commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive learning environment.
