English Teaching Assistant Vacancy in Guimaraes, Portugal

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Work closely with the lead teacher in designing and implementing effective English lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Provide individualized instructions to each student by promoting interactive learning.
• Track student progress and provide regular feedback.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Create an open and communicative classroom setting where students feel comfortable taking part in every day conversations in English.
• Provide assistance with managing student behavior and ensuring a safe and positive classroom environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field.
• Certification in English Language Teaching (CELTA, TESOL, or TEFL)
• At least 2 years of experience in an educational setting.
• Excellent command of English (CEFR level C2 or above).
• Proficiency in Portuguese would be an advantage.
• Experience with technology in the classroom and digital teaching tools.
