Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Education / Teaching Assistant to support our teaching staff in delivering high-quality education. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting teachers in preparing and organizing classroom materials and resources.
  • Supporting students with diverse learning needs, providing personalized assistance as needed.
  • Supervising students during lessons, recess, and extracurricular activities.
  • Helping to manage classroom behavior and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Conducting small group sessions to reinforce learning concepts taught by the teacher.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student performance and progress under teacher supervision.
  • Engaging in communication with parents and other stakeholders about student achievements and concerns.

Job and Personal Requirements

  • Previous experience in an educational setting is preferred, but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
  • Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in various situations.
  • Basic understanding of child development and educational psychology.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Portuguese is an advantage.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering student growth.
  • Relevant certifications or diplomas in education or child care are preferred.
