Job Vacancy: Internship - Translator

A renowned international corporation based in vibrant Newcastle, UK, is expanding its translation team and is currently seeking an Intern Translator. This company is one of the forerunners in its industry known for delivering quality service to its global clients.

Tasks and Responsibilities

As an Intern Translator, you will be working with an experienced team, grasping different aspects of the translation industry. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Translating written materials from one language into another
• Ensuring the context of the translated material is maintained
• Proofreading and editing final translated versions
• Collaborating with a team of translators and interpreters
• Maintaining an updated understanding of various cultures and their language nuances

Job Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• A degree or working towards a degree in linguistics, translation or a related field
• Fluency in at least two languages besides English
• Excellent comprehension and writing skills in multiple languages
• Must be located in Newcastle or willing to relocate
• Prior experience in translation is preferable but not essential
