Education/Teaching Assistant
School Description
We are an established international school located on the beautiful island of Tenerife, Spain. Job Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in planning and implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
- Support students in their learning by providing individualized attention and assistance.
- Help create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance and behavior.
- Facilitate group activities, encouraging collaboration and participation among students.
- Supervise students during break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Prepare classroom materials and resources, ensuring all are organized and accessible.
- Assist in administrative tasks such as grading, record keeping, and communication with parents.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma; a degree in education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in an educational setting, particularly with young learners, is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Knowledge of child development and learning processes.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish or other languages is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
