Job Vacancy: Education/Teaching Assistant

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Support students with special educational needs and help them integrate into the classroom.
• Prepare learning materials and set up educational resources under the guidance of teaching staff.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, breaks, and field trips, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Help assess students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
• Encourage positive student behavior and foster a supportive learning environment.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Engage in training opportunities and professional development as required.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a related educational role is preferred.
• A relevant qualification in education, child development, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to various teaching environments.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Portuguese is an advantage.
