Job Vacancy: Education/Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education/Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Faro, Portugal. Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Support students with special educational needs and help them integrate into the classroom.
- Prepare learning materials and set up educational resources under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, breaks, and field trips, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Help assess students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Encourage positive student behavior and foster a supportive learning environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Engage in training opportunities and professional development as required.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a related educational role is preferred.
- A relevant qualification in education, child development, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to various teaching environments.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Portuguese is an advantage.
