Job Vacancy: English Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic English Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant language school located in the picturesque city of Coimbra, Portugal. Our institution is dedicated to providing high-quality language education through interactive and engaging learning experiences.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in preparing teaching materials and lesson plans.
• Facilitate small group discussions and activities to enhance student learning and participation.
• Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance with language comprehension.
• Conduct conversational practice sessions to improve students' speaking and listening skills.
• Participate in assessment activities by helping to grade assignments and providing constructive feedback.
• Organize and participate in cultural exchange events and social activities for students.
• Support administrative tasks as needed, including maintaining student records and attendance.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to work effectively in a team.
• Previous experience in teaching or tutoring is preferred.
• Passion for language education and cultural exchange.
• Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and engage students effectively.
